We learned all about fruit in one of our readers last week so we decided that we needed to try different fruits and make a fruit salad. We tried strawberries, raspberries, apples, oranges, grapes, banana and blueberries. Some of us were nervous at first to try new fruits but by the end we were devouring the fruit salad. Yum, yum.
Emma from Maxi Zoo paid us a visit today to talk to us about responsible pet ownership. We met her rabbit, Delilah and we were all brave enough to pet her. Well done everyone.
We had another special birthday in Ms. Aherne’s class. We are all getting so big. Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday to one of our big girls in Ms. Aherne’s class. We had cake and party bags and a dance off. Fun, fun, fun! Thank you mummy and daddy for the cake. It was delicious.
We are sorry Mummies and Daddies if we came home wet today but we were busy discovering whether objects in our classroom could float or sink. As you can see from our faces, we really enjoyed this science experiment.
We have been so lucky to be able to take part in Hip Hop classes with Dayl. We think Dayl is so cool and we are real cool dudes when we are doing our hip hop dancing. Go Us!
We are so delighted to welcome Patrick back again this year to teach us drumming. We have been learning about all the different sounds a drum makes and making up our own little songs. We even have time to go crazy dancing at the end to the sound of Patrick’s drum. Thank you Patrick.
We are so happy to see the sunshine. Summer is here at last. Ms. Ahern’s class, Ms. Allen’s class and Ms. O Connor’s class all went outside to play Stuck in the Mud, Duck, Duck, Goose and What Time is it Mr. Wolf. We were exhausted afterwards.
We all turned into adventurers today on the hunt for mini beasts. We explored under rocks, tree trunks, leaves and soil. We found lots such as centipedes, worms and woodlouse. Some of us were even brave enough to pick some up.
Today we spoke about what we want to be when we grow up. There were lots of suggestions from deep sea divers to fairies to movie stars. We really enjoyed painting pictures of all the occupations we would like to do when we grow up.
