Our school has played a major role in U.C.C.’s Cork Children’s Lifestyle Study. The study looked at children’s eating and exercise habits. The results were very interesting! Check out the results of the study @ http://www.ucc.ie/en/epid/research/foodhealth/
Many thanks to the Lough Credit Union for sponsoring our new jerseys. We hope to have many years of success and fun in our new jerseys.

Greenmount made history at this year’s Cork City Sports, bringing home a wealth of trophies. Our junior male and female teams, as well as our senior male and female teams all won their relays. This meant that Greenmount won all four relays on the day, a historic and unprecedented win. Well done to Ms. Rice and Plunkett Carter who trained the boys and girls as well as all of our budding athletes.
Well done to the 3rd and 4th class boys who lost out in the B final of the Lough leagues last night. They were beaten by a strong Glasheen side but fought hard to the end!
Well done to the 3rd class boys who took part in a hurling blitz today. Greenmount Abú!
Greenmount pupils recently took part in Cork Parks Tennis Easter Tennis Competition at Togher Tennis Courts. More pictures are available @ www.corkparkstennis.com
2011-12 was a very exciting year for Greenmount N.S. in the sporting world. The girl’s football team reached the final of their Sciath na Scol group. At the same time, the boy’s football and hurling Sciath na Scol teams went on to win their groups, claiming an emotional double Sciath na Scol victory for the Green.
Later in the year, our tennis team entered the Greenmount history books by claiming the Barber Cup for the first time in Greenmount’s history.
Congratulations to the pupils and their coaches on such a wonderful sporting year.
