Brother Cusack and Plunkett Carter brought us over to Deerpark Secondary School’s pitch and Bro’s Club to have a Fun for All Day. We walked over (and had to stop half way for a rest). We got over and played with hula hoops, climbed the hill, threw frisbees, had a sack race, a 3 legged race, played football and played the games in Bro’s club. We had a picnic and all too soon we had to go back to school. The sun shone and we had a great time. I bet we will sleep tonight!
Greenmount made history at this year’s Cork City Sports, bringing home a wealth of trophies. Our junior male and female teams, as well as our senior male and female teams all won their relays. This meant that Greenmount won all four relays on the day, a historic and unprecedented win. Well done to Ms. Rice and Plunkett Carter who trained the boys and girls as well as all of our budding athletes.
Well done to the 3rd and 4th class boys who lost out in the B final of the Lough leagues last night. They were beaten by a strong Glasheen side but fought hard to the end!

On a recent class trip to the Lough we saw a 9.5kg carp caught by a local fisherman. It was the first ever fish caught by the man and he returned it to the water after weighing it and taking some pictures.
