Greenmount National School is situated in the historic Greenmount area of Cork City. It caters for both girls and boys from Infants to Sixth Class and has a student population of over 250.
The school was founded in 1854 by the Presentation Brothers who maintain their links with the school through the Board of Management and in their role as Trustees. The present building was opened in 1967. A large modern extension was added in 2013.
The school is also home to Greenmount Community Play Group for pre-school children.
Greenmount N.S. celebrates 160 years of providing education in the Greenmount area.
The school provides a caring and happy environment to enable each child to develop his or her full potential as an individual and as a member of society.
