We attempted to make gas explosions in school on Friday. There was loads of excitement in class!
We read about Horrid Henry and the mega mean time machine this week, so we decided to design and build our own time machines using our STEM bins.
We put honey, golden syrup, washing up liquid, water, oil and hand sanitiser into a clear plastic bottle to prove that all liquids have different weights. This is known as liquid density.
We did place value using arrow cards, dienes blocks and marla, spaghetti and cheerios!!
The One Book One Community Project was launched by the lord Mayor at the Lough today. Children from all the local primary schools gathered together to begin a fortnight of work on Michael Morpurgo’s “Mr. Nobody’s Eyes.” World Champion, Bernard Dunne popped along to encourage all our young people to keep up their love of reading.
Some pictures of 3rd class making 3D Shapes.
The Boys’ Football Team gave us a heart stopping match against Barney Street N.S. in Páirc Uí Chaoimh today. The boys returned home champions!
We also planted tulips for the Spring. These we have kept in the garden to the front of the school so we can keep an eye on them over the winter months.
