6th Class collected coins to create a coin mural. The collection came to almost €150. Conor Forde presented the money to Brother Aiden at the 6th Class Graduation Ceremony to be donated to a primary school in Ghana. Well done 6th on such a creative and generous project.
Our Green School Committee has worked really hard this year to focus on conserving energy and recycling. Next year we will be focusing on water conservation. Here’s hoping we have a 3rd Green Flag in the near future!

Both our boys and girls came home victorious from Hurling by the Lough 2014!
Greenmount take Cork City Sports by storm yet again. Boys and girls received individual trophies and relay trophies. We even had one boy qualify for the County Finals! An outstanding result overall. Many thanks to Ms. Rice and Plunkett Carter for all the training.
Project Spraoi was launched in CIT today by Minister Jimmy Deenihan. He praised schools like Greenmount N.S. for their participation in Project Sproai. Sproai aims to improve the nutritional and physical wellbeing of our young people.
6th Class re-enacted the American Civil War with actors today. It is 150 years since the Civil War and history was brought to life with costumes and props. Amazing experience for all involved.
