It was Patrick’s birthday last week. We sang the birthday song and Patrick blew out his candles. The cakes were yummy. Happy birthday Patrick!
Our Green Schools Committee travelled to Little Island to be presented with our 3rd Green Flag. This is an amazing achievement for our school. Well done to Ms. Clune, Ms. Ahern and the Green Schools Committee!
What a beautiful day we had today. The sun was shining! A perfect day to go visit the Lough near our school. First we took a trip into the church where we looked at the stained glass windows and the altar. Then we said a prayer to Holy Mary as May is the month of Mary.
Next we set off to the Lough where we played in the playground and saw the swans and the ducks. We even saw some really cute ducklings.
We were exhausted at the end of our walk so we all lay down for a rest in the shade before heading back to school.
Long may the sun shine! 🙂

Our school basketball team received a great boost recently with success at a Cork schools blitz. Fr. Mathew players, Mai O’Leary and Dearbhla Breen visited the team to present them with certificates for their achievement. The team were further honored with a lovely write up in the Evening Echo.
Members of our Healthy Green Schools Committee traveled to Dublin recently to the first national Green Schools Expo with Ms. Ahern and Ms. Clune. The exhibition was a showcase of the Green Schools Programme and our committee came back full of ideas and energy for our next green flag!
