A Special Birthday

Happy Birthday to one of our big girls in Ms. Aherne’s class. We had cake and party bags and a dance off. Fun, fun, fun! Thank you mummy and daddy for the cake. It was delicious.

A wet science experiment

We are sorry Mummies and Daddies if we came home wet today but we were busy discovering whether objects in our classroom could float or sink. As you can see from our faces, we really enjoyed this science experiment.

Hip Hop

We have been so lucky to be able to take part in Hip Hop classes with Dayl. We think Dayl is so cool and we are real cool dudes when we are doing our hip hop dancing. Go Us!

We are so delighted to welcome Patrick back again this year to teach us drumming. We have been learning about all the different sounds a drum makes and making up our own little songs. We even have time to go crazy dancing at the end to the sound of Patrick’s drum. Thank you Patrick.

Fun in the Sunshine

We are so happy to see the sunshine. Summer is here at last. Ms. Ahern’s class, Ms. Allen’s class and Ms. O Connor’s class all went outside to play Stuck in the Mud, Duck, Duck, Goose and What Time is it Mr. Wolf. We were exhausted afterwards.

Mini Beast Hunt

We all turned into adventurers today on the hunt for mini beasts. We explored under rocks, tree trunks, leaves and soil. We found lots such as centipedes, worms and woodlouse. Some of us were even brave enough to pick some up.

When I grow up….

Today we spoke about what we want to be when we grow up. There were lots of suggestions from deep sea divers to fairies to movie stars. We really enjoyed painting pictures of all the occupations we would like to do when we grow up.

Easter Bonnet Competition

Congratulations to all the entrants to the Easter Bonnet Competition. You all worked very hard to create amazing Easter bonnets. Well done!

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter break. Before the break we had a surprise visitor to our school. The Easter bunny!! He left us treasure hunt clues that we needed to figure out to find all the yummy Easter eggs. Thank you Easter bunny.

Static Electricity

In Science this week, we learned all about static electricity. Static electricity is created when you rub a balloon on your clothes or your hair. It causes the balloon to stick to lots of different surfaces such as the wall, your hand or your nose. We also were able to pick up our hair and colourful pieces of paper. So much fun and learning.
